About Concrete NWI

What we are

Concrete NWI is a free referral service for homeowners and property owners in Lake and Porter County, Indiana. We’re not a concrete company and we don’t send out our own crews. When you call our number, we connect you with an independent, local concrete contractor who works in your area, whether you need a new driveway, a backyard patio, sidewalk replacement, stamped concrete or concrete repair.

We built this site because finding a concrete contractor in The Region is harder than it should be. Search results are crowded with national directories that sell the same lead to five companies, and many good local outfits are busy, small, and not great at marketing. We try to make that first step simple: one call, one local contractor, no bidding war for your phone number.

How it works

1. You call. Call the number on our contact page. Tell us your town and what you’re planning. We currently cover Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville, Valparaiso and Portage (all service areas).
2. We route you to a local contractor. Calls are forwarded to an independent concrete contractor who serves your area. Calls may be recorded for quality and to confirm that callers are followed up with.
3. The contractor gives you an estimate. They’ll look at the site, talk through options and give you a quote. Pricing, scheduling, permits, workmanship and any warranty are between you and the contractor.
4. You decide. There’s no cost to you and no obligation to hire anyone.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your information to multiple companies.
• We don’t charge homeowners anything.
• We don’t pour concrete, so we don’t make claims about crews, equipment or credentials. Ask the contractor directly.

Before you hire anyone

Whoever you hire, through us or not, it’s worth a few minutes of homework:

• Ask whether they’re registered with your town. Merrillville and Schererville, for example, require contractors to register with the town before working there.
• Ask for a certificate of insurance and confirm it’s current.
• Get the scope, price and payment schedule in writing.
• Ask who handles any permits and right-of-way work.
• Look at recent local jobs and check their reviews on more than one site.
